The Anxiety Ring

Anxiety is something everyone experiences at some point in their lives and feeling anxious is a perfectly natural reaction to some situations.

 

But sometimes feelings of anxiety can be constant, overwhelming or out of proportion to the situation and this can affect your daily life.

Our Anxiety Ring has been designed to help ease the effects of anxiety. Each handcrafted ring consists of three bands with 5 free moving beads on the inner band. Slide the beads along the ring to create a peaceful movement. Adding a sensory dynamic will help to shift your focus away from anxious thoughts and feelings.

 

Now let’s bring some intention to our actions. Whilst moving the beads along the ring, let’s focus on our mindset in 5 steps.

  1. Observe five things around you that you can immediately see. This can be anything that is physically in your environment, or something like a photo on the wall which instigates a happy memory – this can promote feelings of peacefulness.

  2. Observe four things around you that you can touch. This can be the carpet beneath you, your hair, or a soft blanket. Our skin is our largest organ, and we are immediately stimulated when we touch something.

  3. Observe three things that you can hear. Perhaps it’s the birds chirping outside or some background music. Paying attention to the sounds in your environment will help distract your brain from the anxiety that you’re feeling.

  4. Observe two things that you can smell in your environment. Focus on these. Breathe.

  5. Observe one thing you can taste. Stay in the present moment and try not to let your thoughts drift.

Reforming your mindset will slowly strengthen your ability to take control of anxious situations and allow for any negative thoughts and feelings to slowly drift away.
